Position Description:
Nationwide- The Field Marketing and Clinical Applications Specialist Manager will be responsible to lead and manage a team of clinical application specialists focused on the ultrasound business, support marketing, and sales programs to ensure that revenue and income targets are met and interface with customers, sales representatives, and in-house stakeholders in support of the sale and marketing of products. The incumbent will provide feedback, input, and support for assigned product lines.

! Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, d! irect, manage, and support team of clinical applications specialists (CAS) to achieve department and group objectives.
  • Develop individual objectives and participate in the PME process in a timely manner
  • Develop specific CAS performance metrics to evaluate individual and team contributions
  • Provide training and manage career/professional development for CASs
  • Provide clinical and technical field support and education for team, customers, and sales force.
  • Manage Physician/Surgeon Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships, always following Olympus America Inc. (OAI) code of ethics and compliance guidelines. Act as the product and procedure expert to drive large account conversions.
  • Participate in the development of long and short-term marketing plans and strategies to increase revenue, maximize profit, and grow share of market for the EUS business. Support the development of annual and corporate strategic business plans.
  • Provide product management support for EUS product line including product review, R&D, customer support, and any other product needs or requirements. Act as a support to the ultrasound product management and provides leadership and direction to the product launch team through all phases of product launch. This includes coordinating activities of all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct field work including:
  • Organize and conduct workshops to promote the sales of EUS product
  • Partner with customers to present EUS product to other potential customers
  • Provide meeting and trade show support
  • Work with sales representatives and CAS to understand the issues and obstacles in selling ultrasound products as well as identifying new growth opportunities
  • Attend medical and industry conventions to meet with Physicians and Nurses to obtain voice of the customer (VOC), learn of competitive products, and stay current with developm! ents in the field
  • Tracks and evaluates product performance in ! field:
  • Monitor customer satisfaction with initial installations and use of the product
  • Communicate with technical staff in the field on product performance issues
  • Visit customer sites
  • Lead user meetings to discuss product performance, document any performance problems of deficiencies, assemble, edit, and transmit all pertinent information to OAI and OMS
  • Monitor and evaluate competition relative to new product introduction, help initiate appropriate action to counter competitive activities
  • Provide supervision to:
  • Clinical Application Specialist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or Medical Technology, or equivalent knowledge is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Project and people management experience is required.
  • Experience in medica! l instrumentation and video/ultrasound imaging is required.
  • Must be Board Certified Radiology Technologist, R.T.R. and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, RDMS. Maintains all certification and/or registrations. Registered in at least two modalities, one of which should be abdominal (others ob/gyn or rectal).
  • Experience in developing and managing Physician/Surgeon KOLs is necessary.
  • Must have experience in launching new technologies and procedures.
  • The ability to develop and grow business based on procedure-focused sales is essential.
  • Must have success in developing accounts and installing new procedures training programs.
  • The ability to develop and execute marketing plans and lead change is vital.
  • Must posses the ability to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements.
  • The ability to manage, direct, and coordinate sales groups, and corporate resources is! necessary.
  • Experience in interacting with a diverse cross fun! ctional team, strong prospecting skills, self starter, capable of independent action, detail oriented, multi-task/time management, ability to internalize technical concepts, products, and services is essential.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) as required.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are vital.
