Adheres to Mary Lanning Healthcares Mission, Vision and Values.2. Adheres to Mary Lanning Healthcares Standards of Behavior.3.

Attends and participates in departmental meetings / inservices, Mary Lanning Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.4. FINANCEBUDGETING--CAPITAL Research capital budget requests and submit justification.BUDGET OPERATIONAL Sub! mits justification for operational needs of the unit. Cooperates in the determination of units of service. Coordinates and justifies requested staffing needs.

Monitors unit expenses. Makes recommendations for changes in supplies and non depreciable equipment. Coordinates spending requests for unit.NEW SERVICES Submits suggestions for new services to director. Assists in evaluating new services.

Works with director and staff to implement approved new services. Evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of services once implemented.5. PEOPLEEMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT Champions and implements impact plan. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Conducts performance management for all staff on unit.

Provides for resources for staff to meet goals. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT Implements employee engagement program for unit. PHYSICIAN SATISFACTION Refers unresolved physician issues to director. Works cooperatively with physicians to resolve issues.

HIRING / TERMINATIONS Interviews! and makes hiring selection. Prepares disciplinary documents and implem! ents progressive discipline. Assures compliance with employment policies and procedures.6. PROCESS PRODUCTIVITY STANDARDS Collaborates with the Director to determine productivity standards.

Conveys productivity standards to charge and staff and assures compliance with standards. TECHNOLOGY Assures proper training for new technology and implements appropriate competency testing. Suggests new technology and recommends updated technology to Director. SYSTEM ANALYSIS Proposes changes to the unit system to the director.

Implements system changes into effective unit operations. IT IMPLEMENTATION Assures appropriate hardware is available to support IT applications. Assists with assuring competency for use of IT applications is implemented and recommends additional competencies. LABOR CONTROL Prepares staffing schedule according to staffing matrix.

Monitors labor cost daily.7. QUALITY AND SERVICE PATIENT SATISFACTION Evaluates patient satisfaction data fo! r areas of opportunity. Assures achievement of orgianzation defined satisfaction scores. Visits each patient daily to obtain in-put on suggestions for change.

Responds to all patient complaints and refers for action as appropriate. CORE MEASURES Suggests improvement in process to assure core measure compliance at 100%. Works with staff and physicians to attain 100% compliance. Revises processes to improve or enhance compliance.

COMPLIANCE Assures competency and annual in-service is conducted as appropriate. Corrects behavior when observed. EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE Provides for education on evidence based practice. Assures staff has resources to implement evidence based practice.

Works with Director to assure staff suggestions for practice improvement are implemented. RESEARCH Works with staff on unit to assure compliance with research design. Writes research proposals based on unit activities and needs. Encourages staff to conduct and participate i! n research.

THE JOINT COMISSION Utilizes JC standards to imple! ment activities on unit. Work with staff and JC coordinator to assure knowledge of and compliance with standards. Participate and/or plan tracers and correct deficiencies. COMPLICATION RATE/READMISSION RATE Acts on recommendations to respond to variations from benchmark.

Provides for staff education to assure compliance by staff of recommended changes. NATIONAL PATIENT SAFETY GOALS Provides education on goals and their relationship to practice on unit. Implements processes to assure compliance with goals. Practices goals as role model for staff.8.

STAKEHOLDER COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Actively supports organization-sponsored activities. Supports community health related endeavors. May serve as a leader for community health education or fundraising. COORDINATION OF SERVICES Participates in assigned organization committees and groups.

Attends medical staff meetings as requested. Works cooperatively with other departments, units, to ensure patients recei! ve quality care.9. Performs other duties as assigned
