Kitchenhand Wanted
Café Hibiscus is a boutique cafe establishment located in the Whangaparaoa Peninsula area, Auckland. We offer dine-in, take-away food and beverage to the local community and surrounding businesses. We are looking for three enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as full-time Kitchen Hands in our fast-paced and fun-filled kitchen team.
To be considered suitable for this position, you will be rostered to work at least 30 hours per week and able to work on weekends and public holidays for this busy role.
What you’ll be doing:
· Washing, disinfecting, and polishing dishware based on company procedures
· Cooking, toasting and heating food under the supervision of Chefs
· Assembling and preparing food ingredients for cooking
· Restocking kitchen supplies and maintaining equipment as needed
· Packing food and drinking trays for serving
· Weighing, transferring, checking and storing food ingredients
· Maintaining order and cleanliness of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and service areas based on industry and company standards
· Cleaning general utensils and kitchen equipment
Other requirements:
A relevant training certificate in food processing / cookery or proven working experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen will be advantageous but not essential. Attitude is the key aspect we will be looking for.
All training will be provided to the right candidate.
Pay rate for successful applicant will be pay between $28.50 - $30.00 depending on skill and experience.
