Project Officer [Australia]


 

Our new team is seeking a Project Officer and or Project Coordinator with experience in civil and other public infrastructure. Other experiences will be considered.

The successful candidates will be responsible for project reporting and management of the restoration of multiple contract packages worth $1-10M each, and includes defining scope, procuring contractors, supervising construction, and ensuring appropriate documentation to enable Council to be reimbursed through various sources including Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), insurance and other government grant funding.

You’ll be a motivated self-starter with strong project management, procurement and contract management experience. You'll also have technical knowledge in the fields of road works, retaining structures, pipework, water and sewer infrastructure, parks, sportsfields, and structures.

About the role:

  • Manage the delivery of the nominated projects through all phases and with a strong focus on best value outcomes
  • Experience in project management, contract management and construction supervision on public infrastructure
  • Ensure the works are delivered efficiently and effectively to achieve funding milestones within a flood restoration environment
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with stakeholders including Council staff and contractors at all levels of engagement.

Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
