We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting professional to join our team as a Programming & Project Accountant at Paramount .
In this role, you will be responsible for accurate and timely accounting and analysis of Programming & Project Accounting transactions. You will be working closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and US GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve invoices of vendors related to programming licenses.
Process monthly amortization adjustment entries for programming assets.
Determine and record short-term/long-term liability reclassifications.
Process disposals for fully amortized acquired program assets.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations for programming assets and obligations.
Prepare monthly intercompany cost reconciliation and balance confirmation reports.
Follow up and investigate intercompany out-of-balances.
Assist with ad hoc Paramount Controllership requests.
Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations.
Requirements - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance.
2-4 years of relevant work experience in a broad range of accounting functions.
Strong and up-to-date accounting skills (US GAAP/IFRS).
Good understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes to be able to form an opinion on accounting and process matters.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Internet Explorer, MS Project, MS SharePoint).
Strong business English language skills, both oral and written.
