Banner Health Benefits Banner Health Careers Banner Health is currently looking for a senior level IT Technical leader in Ogallala to provide day to day IT support and management to the Ogallala Community Hospital. The qualified candidate will preferably have a Bachelors or Associate's Degree with an A+ and/or MCSE certification. The position will involve day travel to other Banner facilities in the region to provide support and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:Qualifications:
This position is the primary focal point for facility administration. The incumbent is responsible for directing the activities of onsite I/T activities and projects, as well as, carrying responsibility for supervision/department management of facility support functions as assigned by senior management. Has responsibility for staff which includes hiring, training, assessments and terminations.
Essential Functions Hires, trains, conducts performance evaluations, and directs the workflow for the staff. This position is also accountable for participating in the development and implementation of goals and objectives. Ensures all goals and objectives are met timely and effectively. Works with IT senior management to develop annual corporate IT operational budgets. If applicable, participates in the development of specific facility non-IT based departmental budgets in conjunction with established goals and objectives. Plays a key role in ensuring budgetary goals are met on an annual basis. Work with facility leadership to ensure budgetary projections include planned facility projects and infrastructure needs. Manage and report departmental expenditures and projects expenses. Participates and may lead in task forces and councils. This includes participating in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and programs to increase facility operations efficiency and effectiveness, as well as ensure the delivery of quality customer care. Establish departmental objectives and develop effective tools to measure and report performance against these objectives. Plan and develop detailed specifications for I/T assignments, assess the quality of delivered services and implement quality improvement action plans. Identifies, prioritizes, directs and schedules customer requests and routine assignments. Ensure that appropriate resources are deployed to meet customer business, clinical and technical needs. Follow-up on customer requests to assure the final product has been delivered to meet expectations. Utilizes problem solving techniques to independently triage problems with network infrastructure, business or product line specific applications. Minimum Qualifications Must possess strong knowledge of business and technology as is normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in related. Individual must also have progressive experience in a healthcare environment, or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience typically achieved in 4-7 years. Needs leadership experience in project planning, reporting, and budgeting. Requires exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires leadership skills with ability to lead, communicate, and interact across facilities and at various levels. Successful candidate will have skills and experience to recruit, mentor, motivate, evaluate, and retain staff. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
