More details about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Palliative Care Tea! m consists of a physician, nurse practitioner, 3 RNs and a social worker. Will be responsible for care of patients in the hospital program and in the palliative outpatient program as it evolves. Responsibilities include:
- Being the first contact for new consults, including medical data collection, patient interviews and evaluation, and consult documentation/dictation.
- Managing a wide range of symptoms.
- Facilitating discussions about goals of care and end-of-life decision making.
- Rounding on assigned patients daily.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team rounds on a daily basis. Key management decisions are usually made during rounds.

About the Physician Network
The Physician Network originated in 1994 and is a sister company to Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Initiatives. The Network has grown to approximately 105 providers (85 physicians and 20 mid-level providers). It consists of 22 practice sites located in Lincoln and Southeast Nebraska. The core of the Network is primary care, however a variety of physician specialties have been added over the years. The scope of specialties include family practice, internal medicine, OB/GYN, ENT, emergency medicine, urgent care, occupational medicine, neonatology, palliative care, pediatric cardiology, and a hospitalist program.
Qualifications
Education
:
Nu! rse Practitioner degree from an accredited school is required.
License/Certification
:
Must possess a non-restricted Nebraska license.
Must possess current, valid federal and state narcotics certificates.
Current BLS certification required.
