About Position
As a Software Developer at Norrøna you work on our web server and internal applications and services. Our software is mostly written in .net in the backend and vue.js on the frontend, and is running in Kubernetes clusters on the Google Cloud Platform. We use Terraform for automating the platform with a DevOps setup that allows quick onboarding of new applications, so the developers can focus on development rather than infrastructure or complicated deployment processes.
The role is a part of Norrøna’s in-house software development/IT department and reports to the department manager.
How you’ll contribute:
You will contribute to rewriting our current web server that is still written in .net framework, work on the CMS part and on the backend for automation tools for e.g. images, claims/repair handling, return handling, integration with the cash systems in our stores and b2b customers.
On the way you will learn a lot on how our whole company works, and play an important role in the success of all departments. We are constantly trying to improve how we work, trying new work processes or tools - so you will join a fast-paced working environment.
We believe you’ll succeed in this job if you:
Know how to write readable and maintainable C# code and have worked with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server. Knowledge of nuxt.js or vue.js is a plus, but not required.
It's important that you enjoy troubleshooting and working in a small team of motivated people.
Qualifications:
- Formal education within software development/IT or relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of C# and .net core/.net
- Preferably 3 years of experience
