Data Entry and Institutional Research Assistant (IRA) will conduct data entry and assist with basic analyses to support University planning, evaluation, effectiveness, and reporting. The IRA will import, extract, analyze, visualize, and describe a variety of institutional data for use internally for strategic decision-making and externally for informational and official reporting to state and federal agencies and other external organizations as assigned.

Level Scope

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.

Essential Functions

70 % of the Time the IRA will:

  • Input data from excel and share drive sources into institution’s Student Information System (SIS) Campus Cafe.
  • Apply analytical and problem solving skills to clean and reconcile data within institution’s SIS Campus Cafe.
  • Apply technical/programming skills to extract, analyze, and explore data from primary systems (Campus Cafe, Desire 2 Learn, Zoom, Microsoft OneDrive, and SurveyMonkey) for research and reporting projects.
  • Summarize and present data and results clearly and accurately in verbal and written communications and numerical and graphical forms.
  • Prepare deliverables, such as dashboards, interactive worksheets/workbooks, and/or reports using appropriate tools.
  • Interpret and respond effectively to stakeholder and end-user requests and needs.
  • Prepare written reports, visual data displays, and other types of presentations to assist in communicating data and analyses to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.

25% of Time IRA:

Can be determined by department needs.

5% of Time IRA:

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
