Job Summary: Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the Medical Billing position. Medical Biller evaluates the quality of patient care services. Monitors compliance with current laws, process improvements, and implementation of clinical best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95% and qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following duties:
- Medical Biller will process encounters for services provided by Care Managers on a daily basis
- Demonstrates ability to proof and post charge entries daily
- Check eligibility and benefits verification for chronic care management services
- Communicate regularly with Billing Lead, Revenue Cycle Director when billing issues occur
- Ensure timeliness of billing
- Medical Biller will also be responsible for billing clean claims daily to payers via electronic in a timely and accurate manner keeping up with department and billing standards
- Participate in daily team huddles and other meetings, as applicable
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The percentage of time spent performing secondary functions is 5%. The following duties are considered secondary to the essential duties listed above:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
